A guide for those seeking funding in Bristol, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Gibraltar and the Isles of Scilly.
Since being elected as an MEP in June 2009, one of the most common requests I have received is for information about how to access EU funds for local projects. These funds ultimately come from the British taxpayer and in many cases are unclaimed because of lack of local information as to which funding streams are available and for what purposes.
Furthermore the application process is frequently bureaucratic and complex. Owing to the current economic situation, with cuts being made across the country, it is important for individuals, charities, research groups, councils and more to remember that there may be funding opportunities available for them in the EU.
This document has been designed to act as a guide for organisations in the South West who are looking to obtain funding for projects and research. It is a comprehensive compilation of hundreds of websites which contain the funding information that you need – we’ve done the trawl for you! As the funding periods are relatively short, you may find the occasional broken link – some of the information may not be entirely accurate in as much as the period to apply for a particular funding type may have expired. Please also be aware that with the continual changes to the RDA, some of the local information becomes out of date very quickly.
If you have any questions about obtaining European Funding, please do contact firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com and we will try to assist. If you have found a source of funding that we haven’t please let us know through the same email addresses.
I hope that you find the information helpful to furthering your request.
